Biography

Isabel Serrano is a Spanish-American actress and writer with a professional career spanding more than 35 years. She began her journey as a dancer in 1987 and a year later transitioned to acting, starring in the television series Brigada Central which catapulted her to international fame. In 2008, she moved to London to study at The Actors Centre of London. In 2012, she relocated to Los Angeles (CA), where she expanded her training at renowned schools such as The Beverly Hills Playhouse, Ivana Chubbuck Studio, and The Actor’s Gang, among others. Serrano has been directed by John Malkovich, John Finn, Bobby Moresco and Álex de la Iglesia. Her work alongside Malkovich in the play "Hysteria" allowed her to explore new acting techniques that enriched her performance style and brought an innovative vision to the theater scene. These collaborations with celebrated artists have not only propelled her career but also contributed to artistic diversity and enrichment in the industry. On stage, she has appeared in iconic plays such as Don Juan Tenorio, The Mousetrap, El Mágico Prodigioso, among others. She has acted in more than 20 television series in Spain, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. Her experience in different countries and venues around the world has enhanced her versatility as a performer and her competence in the performing arts.

Simultaneously, Serrano studied creative writing in Spain and, years later, specialized in playwriting and screenwriting at Santa Monica College. As a screenwriter and director, she has published the plays Darling, Since You Are Up Anyway... and Never Without You. Darling, since you are up anyway... was directed and produced by herself in the prestigious international contest Short and Sweet Hollywood Latino, where she received critical acclaim for its originality and emotional depth. Her creations have been recognized for their ability to connect with audiences and for their positive impact at theater festivals.
